We believe that those who play a leadership role in the lives of youth have the greatest opportunity to instill the values we honor through The Bob Feller Act of Valor Award.
Ask any adult you admire for their loyalty, service to country, respect, courage or commitment and you will most often find that someone modeled that behavior in their youth. We are all in a position to affect change in the lives of youth.
My father kept me busy from dawn to dusk when I was a kid. When I wasn't pitching hay, hauling corn or running a tractor, I was heaving a baseball into his mitt behind the barn... If all the parents in the country followed his rule, juvenile delinquency would be cut in half in a year's time.
