Previewing the Hall of Fame weekend festivities and the Foundation’s role in the Act of Valor Patriot Program, Johnny talks about the special Hall of Fame weekend in Cooperstown and his longstanding relationship with Jerry Coleman winner John Rose and Act of Valor Foundation President Peter Fertig. Happy birthday to 2018 Bob Feller Act of Valor Award winner Mr. Johnny Bench! Mr. Bench served in the National Guard and supports the “Hope For the Warriors” campaign, a program geared toward enhancing the life of post 9/11 service members.
Mr. Johnny Bench is our fourth preview of 2018 Bob Feller Act of Valor Hall of Fame Nominees! Mr. Bench had his legendary number five retired by the Cincinnati Reds, the only team for which he played during his seventeen year career. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. Mr. Bench served in the National Guard, being stationed at Ft. Knox Kentucky. He has supported military personnel on multiple USO trips, as well as a visit to troops during Operation Desert Storm. Congratulations to Mr. Johnny Bench for being nominated for the 2018 Act of Valor Award!
